Anybody know anything about these scopes? A friend has told me that there is a overload of quality scopes under unfamiliar names all of a sudden popping up, due to military contract overruns. Is this one of them of there even any truth to that at all?

I just so happen to have a 4-16x, FFP, Mil Dot  laying around here on loan from my good friend, Duce.
What would you like to know specifically?

Not true... There are alot of people who have worked for major makers that have designed stuff and are getting the chinese to make it for them.  If it is from a milltiary contract then it should have a NSN national stock number.  There are over 100 differnant companies importing scopes or other optics into the US right now.

I hope to out of a "honey do" list this weekend and get out the range and try this Vector scope out.

I was sent a 4-16x Millet TRS-1 and the 4-16x Vector with a FFP Mil Dot.
So far, I like the TRS-1 better than the Vector.

I have not heard anything good about Vector products, but I have not seen one myself.

The glass in the TRS-1 is better than I expected and the scope seems pretty robust.
(This particular scope has some noticable discoloration or "frosting" between the 10:00 and 1:00 position.)
Maybe Koshkin can better explain what that is, I don't know. Looks like over spray.

Eye relief seems decent...3.5"

The power ring is nice. It's big and allows the shooter to see what power he's on while in a shooting position. The power setting is on top of the ring and on the ocular side of the ring.

W/E knobs are OK.
This scope has a locking mechanism that allows you to lock it and keep it from moving. I "guess" that can't be a bad thing, but my Super Sniper, Nikon, US Optics knobs have never moved on me. (Shrug)

This scope is priced right @ $279.95 from the good folks @ SWFA.

Things I don't care for:
1) The side focus wheel is HUGE and quite unnecessary.
2) Illuminated reticle and Chinese glass?? No%20No
3) 1/8" clicks are on it, I would prefer 1/4" clicks.

I'll try to take it out for a shoot tomorrow. Sharp%20Shooter
