Well this is a low end Question. But I thought maybe you guys might have some good info. I don't know that much about scopes. I have a ptr91 g3 copy. I am going to use a original hk mount and weaver adapter. What do I need in a scope to be really accurate   at 100 to 500 yrds? I will mostly be shooting at 150 yards but would like to be able to handle farther out if needed. Can it be done? For what price and what brand.   I was lo oking at burris or leapold. Around $200.00 to $300.00. I know very low end. Any hepl would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.          ;           ;

Just about any scope you choose will be more accurate and hold better than the gun-load combination you are using therefore the question becomes open ended. In other words a scope will aid in faster target acquistion, because of resolution enhancement, but will not improve the precision of your shot placement because of the statistical dispersion of your shooting groups.

For what you have, what you are looking to do and what you want to spend I would highly recomend either of these two scopes. - Burris 3-9x40 Fullfield II w/ Ballistic Plex reticle and free 20x50 spotting scope.....$197.95 - Burris 4.5-14x42 Fullfield II w/ Ballistic Plex reticle and free 12-24x50 spotting scope.....$336.99

The ballistic plex works well with a .308 and the Fullfield II can handle the abuse of a semi auto.
