I found a Japan made 2-5x20 Tasco and was wondering if it would work on a bolt action .22.  Thanks, Ben

I've seen the new Tasco stuff and am not impressed, but I've heard the older ones made in Japan are ok.  I have never owned one just wondered if anyone had a 2-5 Tasco and what they though of it.

Tasco, would not be my first choice for a scope, but it will provide yo-man service and should provide a greater degree of accuracy as opposed to open sights, provided its in good operating condition.

I've had Tasco scopes over the years and they were alright. Of course, in those days they were made in Japan and the USA didn't even have diplomatic relations with RED CHINA!

Nowadays there are folks who actually COLLECT old Tasco scopes from the sixties and seventies! They ain't state of the art like the new stuff of today, but they were good old reasonable scopes. [Some people were inclined to use the word "cheap".]  An older Tasco is miles better than the cheapie scopes on the market today! Heck, they're better than the NEW Tascos!

Play with it and see what you think.    --Ed
