First of all I want to thank you all for the help on the scope selection. I have decided to go with the 2.5-10x42 as you suggested.

Now for the mounts. I plan to use the Swarovski scope and 30mm rings, however, I am at a loss as to which mounts I should use. I want to keep the blueing colors together as much as possible and still have a good dependable mount. As you may have guessed this rifle will be more of an heirloom than shooter.

Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

I prefer Leupold or Redfield, steel one piece bases with the front twist in ring and the windage adjustable rear ring.

Look at the rings made by Swarovski. They are the standard rings that can go into the Leupold base ranburr is referring to. They're a stronger ring than the Leupold's. They also have the Swarovski eagle logo on the top of the ring. May look kinda cool as it will match the logo on the scope. You can kinda see it in the picture on our site.
