Hi Guys, new to the forum.

I'm heading on a Back Country Elk hunt in September....weight is a premium as we are packing in, no horses, no spike camp.

Anyone used the Burris 300151?  Supposed to weight in at 1# so that might fit the bill.

Are there any other lightweight models out there that anyone recommends?

Thanks for the input.

Tony

Manfrotto 728B. Of course, it all depends on what spotting scope you want to use with it. If you have a long and heavy scope, it may not be a good idea to use a small tripod.
