A guy offered me a couple of brand new spotting scopes for $50 that he won at a NWTC meeting. This is a good deal and I'm going to get one of them, but I need all your help to pick the right one. Burris compact 12-24x50 or RedHead Pursuit 18-36x50? I have about 36 hours to let the guy know so if you could please respond quickly. Just to remind everyone I need the scope to be able to make out the number of points a deer has at almost a mile away.

Which ever one of these you think will work best for me please share your opinion with me.  Thanks for everyones help so far and please respond as quickly as possible.
