Anyone have some experience with Cabela's Alaskan Guide Scope line? I have a buddy that primarily uses Leo Scopes. His grandfather put a Alaskan Guide Scope on his .270 and my buddy that loves the Leo's said that the Alaskan Guide Line looked like great glass. They look very reasonably priced and the reviews on Cabela's sound great. Just looking to see if anyone has first hand experience or heard about them. They look and sound good ... so does the price!

Guess this is a bad sign if no one has any experience with them!

the cabelas euro bin is 10x42 meopta all the way.no diference at all between cabelas euro and meopta bins.i dont think that the alaskan line of optics has anything to do with meopta though.

On another board a guy claims Pentax makes the Alaska Guide scopes. I wouldn't be surprised if more than one company contracts for them.

they are good scopes for the money - my coworker has the 52mm - 30 mm tube model -

asian glass and mechanics.

it's very bright and clear. BUT.......

it's no elite 4200, monarch UCC, conquest, or meostar by meopta.

although a very good value, you get what you pay for, usually.

spend a little bit more and get a tried and true.

my 2 cents.
