Hi all.

The newest optic purchase.

A Nikon 6.5-20x44mm with illuminated Mil Dot reticle.  http://www.riflescopes.com/products/6613/new_nikon_6.5-20x44_monarch_ucc_riflescope.htm - http://www.riflescopes.com/products/6613/new_nikon_6.5-20x44 _monarch_ucc_riflescope.htm

Bought it from SWFA.

Another quality transaction.......

I just threw it on this morning, but I'll be sliding the scope back a little more.

It's a little too far forward for my tastes.

I could not wait to get it on my rifle....

I replaced the standard turrets.

These are the Target Turrets in the pics.

The target turrets came with it.

The rear bag has "CTRICK" on it.....

I also added a Eagle Stock Pack since the last pics I posted.

Good product. It does raise your cheek weld a little.

For your viewing pleasure..........

VERY NICE!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Those Monarchs have nice glass.  I sold a 5.5x16.5 about a year ago.  Great

glass & reliable adjustments but the Zeiss VM/V bit me .  Nothing like selling

THREE scopes so that you can afford ONE...

p.s.--happy birthday

Thank you, Brother.

Selling a couple of scopes off to buy ONE.... Ah yes....Seems like only yesterday when I was doing that....

Very nice , I think you are going to like shooting with it, won`t need a spoting scope.

Nice setup, cheaptrick!

I also use the stock pack on one of my rifles.  If you need to raise you cheek pad alittle more, you can always insert something under the stock pack.  I inserted a quarter inch thick sheet of sorbothane and it works very well.

Sorbothane is the same material used in many recoil pads.  I think Pachmayer Decelerator is sorbothane.  Apparently it is widely used for various shock absorbtion related duties.  I stole a piece from a friend of mine who uses it underneath the pump for his aquarium.

PM me your address again, and I'll see if I still have any lying around.  How big of a piece do you think you need?

Thanks, Brother.

Let me try this thing out at the range and I'll go from there.

Cheek welds not real bad now, but I probably should have went with low rings instead of mediums.

Wasn't sure the canted rail, the AO with BC caps would clear with lows....

The rifles not new, just the scope.

The rail is a old 20 MOA Badger Ordanance I've had. Mines a left hand version.

Let me know if you want one.  I found a sheet of this stuff in my garage.

Cheaptrick, the more pics I see of your VS, the more I am liking the Badgers. The TPS stuff seems to be comparable, also. I have a VS in 22.250 and would like some sturdier mounts. The scope is a 6-24 Signature and the spacing on the Leupold dual dovetails is not enough.

I've lost track of how many scopes have been on that rail.

It started out with a US Optics SN-3 on it.

I have never regretted buying Badger Ord. gear.

Specifically, this 20 MOA rail.

The extra 20 MOA has come in handy on some scopes that lack real "up".

Case in point...This Nikon. The book says 38 MOA W/E....

    Thanks for the link Cheaptrick

I think that the badger will work on my gun. I have a new swav. 6x18.50 with the tds.

I think I 'll try it on that 308, if I like the rail and scope I'll do the same for my 270.

I didnt know that a base place could run that high, lol

I just ordered a 6.5-20x44 Monarch with the standard Nikoplex reticle.  My question is, does this model come with the extra knobs like yours did?

Her names Betty...Black Betty......

Yeah, like the song by Ram Jam.

Either scope will serve you well.

Be advised!

The Monarch and the 4200 are going to have "mirage issues" at those higher magnifacations.
