The triangle dot in the Leupold Deltapoint looks like a round dot projected through a filter to make it triangular. I suspect so because there is a faint splatter ring like I would see if looking at a red dot reticle about the same size. The only other dot I see that clearly is the Trijicon. Unfortunately in the RMR there is more than one clear dot where I should see just one.

How does Leupold do it? Are there any small MOA round dots projected the same way?

Yes, it is usually a mask over a light source.

Shield SIS offers a multi dot reticle pattern. There are a few others as well.

Thanks. Perhaps as the Shield becomes more popular I might lay my hands on one.
