I have a Zeiss 3-15 HD5 scope with the side focus. One end says 50 (I assume meters) and then there are 9 marks with the infinity at the other end. Anyone have any idea what the markings inside that range roughly represent?  Thanks.

Don't pay attention to them, spin till parallax is zeroed out.

If your using it for hunting at less than outragous ranges, zero out the paralax at 100 yards and count the notches. That way you can return it there easily in the stand if needed.

The only time I fiddle with that knob is at the range, but most of my hunting shots are inside 100 yards.
