I have a WWII Japanese Tank Periscope and looking for any information. It says 4 x 14 degrees. I have pictures I can send by email. Don't know how to download them here. It measures 14 1/2 inches long x about 2 1/4 inches in diameter. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

You probably have a rare find there, as Japan didn't rely heavily on tanks in most of their conflicts.
Does the periscope have any kind of reticle?

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the periscope has vertical and horizontal reticles.

It sounds like you have either the gun sight for the main gun, or an observation sight sight for the commander. It may also be possible that you have a sight off of a piece of artillery or anti tank gun.
Try googling WWII Japanese tanks. I think I'm going to give it a try.

Here's a start on the tanks.

Is your scope any of these?

Thanks for the website. Yes, I checked this site before I went onto this forum. It does not say anything about sights. I am still trying to figure out how to post some pictures of this. I don't believe it is a spotter's type or commanders type sight. The scope is ~14 inches long and of that length, 1/3 has a diameter of ~2 1/4 inches. then it the diameter is turned down to a smaller diameter another third down its length. Then the final third of its length it is back to 2 1/4 inches. Its almost like the scope mounted in something about 4 1/4 inch thick (it that makes sense).
