My only experience with "big" binos has been the Vortex Kaibab and Swaro SLC 15s (I favored the Swaros by a long shot)... but I see some brands out there making 20X binos and I'm wondering what kind of quality these are?  Many of them seem to be brands that I'm not as familiar with, optical quality up there with the Swaro, zeiss, and leicas of the world?  The more I look through a piece of glass the more I come to appreciate the ability to use both eyes.

Many of them are brands nobody should be familiar with.

I own 5 different 20x binoculars and the optical performance of each one is above average.
Not a mediocre one in the bunch. like-button.jpg

So lay it out straight… are you recommending this binocular?

Here is a link, to Oberwerk the company handling these things.
https://oberwerk.com/product/farvision-20x50s-image-stabilized-binocular/

For $2,995 they are not exactly what I expected to find,  Sort of figured this would be some $79.99 special Big Smile

Not sure how portable the OP wants them but the Kowa Highlanders come in a 21x82mm configuration.

They are a large binocular though and would require a tripod / head for use but i've seen them being used in the field for long range observation by a few groups.

cheers
Jeelan
