How good are the IOR Valdada bases and rings?  Are they very close to the Badger and Smith sytems for quality?

I've been happy with my IOR rings, but then again I am too cheap to buy Badgers.

Also which rings are you talking about?  40mm rings are mad ein ROmanii, I think, but 35mm rings are made here by TPS which has an excellent reputation.

I've got both kinds and I have no complaints.

Koshkin,

I am interested in the 30 MM for a Tactical scope set up.

So are the 30's fairly close to the Badger quality wise, or are the Badgers just overpriced (per your experience)?

I do not own any Badger rigns.  I looked at them and they seem very well made, but the price made my ulcer reopen.

I had exactly zero problems with IOR rings, but I can not tell yo uwhether they are as good or not as good since I am not sure how to compare this.  They seem well machined and they never broke on me.  I have QD IOR rings and they return to zero just fine.

Koshkin,

Thanks for the input.  Sometimes somethings are overengineered for all practical purposes, and you can reach the point of diminishing returns dollar wise for the minor quality improvements.

I hope your ulcer remains stable, I do not plan on rerupturing mine either!

With Regard,

Rusty
