I see a fine gentleman on here answered my question about a red dot. I would like to mount this on a marlin 30/30 with 18" barrel with http://swfa.com/EGW-Picatinny-Rail-1-Piece-Scope-Mount-P46233.aspx - http://swfa.com/EGW-Picatinny-Rail-1-Piece-Scope-Mount-P46233.aspx .   Guess I am concerned with is this going to be too low? I would appreciate any help.

Should be fine.  You want it as low as you can to maintain good cheek weld.   Will mount on a weaver or pic rail.

I'd think it would be G2G.  KB seems to like the leatherwood stuff and if he can't break it i'm sure it'll hold up fine.  I heard bigdaddy say  KB broke and anvil with a banana once......

I also like the vortex red dots for budget ones too.  The battery life on the LW seems to be great though.

I thought about putting my coveted T-1 Aimpoint on my Mossy, but I love it on my AR.

I've only used it on the NEMO Omen, and the baby AR.  It is doing well, so far.  I left the dot on for two weeks… still good...

Looks like the listed battery life rivals Aimpoints. I want one!

Gentlemen , how would these style scopes work on shotgun setup for nighttime coyote hunting? Close range say 50yrds or less.

Should be fine with the help of some illumination to see your target.
