So Skylar at SWFA hooked us up with a ruger american .243 in muddy girl camo. Its a rifle for my wife.

I want a compact type scope as it is a small trim little rifle and don't want a large optic on it. My ceiling is $800 but would prefer to spend much less than that. 2-7xish, 3-9xish mag 40 or under objective is what i am after.

So far i know of
Swaro z3 3-9x36
leupold vx3 2.5-8x
diamondback 2-8x32
VX-R 2-7x32

What are some other good options?

Leica ER 5 series... 1.5-8 x 32. I've got one on order.

^^^Based on my current ownership experience with Leica ER scopes, I'm betting there's a way above average chance that's going to be a fantastic little scope.

That's a cool looking "girl" rifle. I've heard nothing but good reports on the RAR and what a great value it is.

Nice stick! I love a .243 too.

As you already know, I like the VX-R, but I didn't think you did. Maybe I'm mistaken.

For that matter, Trijicon 3-9x40 is about as light and compact as any other scope in its X range. It's about the same size and weight as the Swaro Z3 3-9.

I too like the Leupold VX3 2.5-8X36, as well as the smaller 1.75-6X32.

I am really leaning towards the vx-3 or the vx-r

I thought it was cool....my daughter needs a Youth Model....

We're going to get Meghan a 243 probably....
