Need help finding someone who repairs Hensoldt scopes. Have a chance to buy an early bolt action .30-06 sporting rifle. The rifle is in excellent condition.
It has a Hensoldt Diasta-D 4x32 scope mounted on detachable claw mounts. The optics are a little hazy. The scope and mounts are all-in-one so changing the scope is not possible. The bases are part of the rifle so changing out the bases is also not possible. Would like to have the scope serviced to clear up the optics and to make certain it will hold a zero.
I called Zeiss, but they said they no longer service the Hensoldt scopes. They recommended EuroOptics. Called them and they also do not work on Hensoldt.
Any ideas? Really would like to buy the rifle.

I think Cassidian optronics bought out (or the majority of) the Hensoldt line. Here is there website.

One of the best independent optical repair shops in the US is Suddarth Optical.

They work on binoculars, telescopes and they should be able to help you

with a rifle scope.  Do a search, highly recommended by many.

Hi Nolacollector,

We see a lot of vintage German stuff here in the UK. JEA OPTICS (see their web site) specialise in the older rifle scopes. It would mean shipping to the UK though. Smile
