Finally got around to shooting, so far only had a box of Lapua factory 105 scenars.  Here are my issues that I was hoping I could get some advice on.  Its my first ever "bench" type rifle so looking for some clarification before I call savage and send back.

1.  Feeding..very rough (more so than normal savage).  I can see and feel machine marks on the receiver ramp area, off to the top edge so was hoping would not cause issues, but very clunky to feed, would get hung up often.

2.  Removing - I understand 6mm BR cases do not eject well....that was the case here.  Very few times would it actually eject, most of the time it would just pull out and lay in the feed area, sometimes would flip around backward.

3.  Bolt - After most rounds it felt stuck and took more than what I would call normal force to open or what it should.  Not sure its pressure as all factory loads, or is this normal for the performance needed?  After the first one I fired I wasnt sure I was going to be able to get it opened.  Once bolt lifted it would still stick a bit when pulling back.

Curious on the thoughts.  I attached a pic trying to show the area of the chatter inside the load port.  While it doesnt look that bad on pic, you can feel it with finger all the way along.

It took me longer than I would have expected to get it where I wanted it, shot normal for me compared to other rifles, nothing better or worse.  Would have expected better, think best I saw was .5 inch 3 shot group.

That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.
