Hi there,

I have never bought a riflescope before and I was looking at buying this scope here:

http://www.bestrifle.net/aimpoint-pro-patrol-rifle-optic-review/

Aimpoint riflescopes seem to be more expensive than most. Is it worth paying extra for models such as this?

Thanks for the advice

Aimpoints are quite good, but you would need to offer more (or just some) detail regarding intended use before we can address the "worth paying extra" part.

And links to competitor's sites is against forum rules (as this site is hosted by SWFA.com), so a moderator might remove the link, but we know Aimpoint quite well.

Welcome to the site.

If you were choosing between aimpoint and eotech I prefer the aimpoint. Seems more solid, less likely to get knocked around, and to me is quicker to acquire. I have the patrol rifle optic and works great. Mount included is nice as well as some don't include. I had an eotech 512 and while ok, I like just the one dot and not the extra circle.
