Looking at getting a swfa fixed 20 power scope. Have 2 questions. Will I be able to see bullet impacts on paper at 300 yards or Is that asking to much and 2nd can a shim or shims be used to make a zero stop? My current rifle has a mark 4 ERT FFP TMR reticle with 1/10 mil turrets. Scope does great for paper punching as Impacts at 300 are no problem and was able to make turret into zero stop via shims. Is the swfa scope glass etched also? Am I asking to much from a 300 dollar scope? Will be going on a savage 16 action 300wsm with a finished length barrel of around 30"

I have not had my hands on a SS20x in quite some time, years, but if memory serves you should be good to see bullet holes at 300.  If you use Shoot-n-see, for sure...
