I picked black and painted it like I wanted.

I too picked black and used it for several years. I just recently sent it off to be camo dipped. Looks fine I might add.

When I was building my house I went to a home show and wandered into a class on home decorating (really there was a foxy lady I followed in there, man that skirt couldn't have been any shorter! Big Grin)

But, anyway, learned that patterns that are pleasing to the eye or that seem "natural" follow the 60/30/10 rule

Pick your main color for 60%
Pick a complimentary to main color for 30%
Pick an accent color that contrasts but does not clash for 10%

So decide on what background you will mostly be hunting in, i.e. brown for desert, green for forest, white for snow, etc, then pick a color in that same color group, i.e. tan, olive or light gray respectively, then an accent color which most often is black

Thanks for reminding me of that hot chick, can still see her in my mind's eye WOW

If your hunting deer it doesn't matter, pick the colors that are pleasing to you.
