It's the Superman movie I always wanted them to make.  Superman is BACK... better than ever.  Best super hero movie I've ever seen...

Really, guess I gotta see it!!!

Though I wish they would move away from the same sort of story line of how Superman became Superman.

BTW, Dan how was the latest Star Trek?

Man of Steel is kind of like the new Star Trek... similar enough to not antagonize the "purists", but modern and different enough to entice a whole new set of super hero lovers.  Best of the best...

I'm really impressed with how they are using the "new timeline".  They are doing a wonderful job and Star Trek has taken a new and amazing direction.  I really like it.  There are so many outstanding things they can do.  The "new timeline" concept is perfect and the actors are well schooled in the personalities.  I love it.

Eek

I saw it.  I thought it was.....umm........'modern' movie-making, as usual.  An over-extended, drawn-out finalé, which I thought would never end.....as a matter of fact, I thought 'Supe' had vanquished the bad guys at one point and then he had to do some more 'cause they weren't dead yet!!  Shocked

I guess I'm old fashioned. [No doubt about it--I'm a dinosaur....]  I like to be able to see the action---instead of computer-generated blurs!  Why did Superman destroy half of Metropolis, and all those skyscrapers, while fighting the Bad Guys?  How many people died when those skyscrapers fell down??--like 9/11!!  Who's gonna pay for all that destruction? Cussing What about the gas station and convenience store that exploded!!?  Shocked

Roll on Floor Laughing

In that sense, I thought the movie went off the Reservation.

Did I say that I thought the movie was....LOUD??   ( ...and I don't pass hearing tests real well anymore....)  Bucky

Oh well....I thought Lois was yummy.  I thought Superman's mommy was yummy!!  I thought Superman's Mommy on Krypton was yummy.  Bucky

There's a new Star Trek? Might have to go wind up the TV.
Is Margot Kidder in this new Superman movie, too?
