Hi, 

I found this old pair of binoculars and I need some help identifying and valuing them. 

Any thoughts on them?

That is a Zeiss Porro Prism BGA.
 
Those are supposed to be some great binocular.
 
Based on the serial number those are older than I am, I'd say 1974 or 75.

On another note... what is up with people posting pictures of upside down binoculars anyway?  That happens all the time, I don't get it.

I'd suggest you go to the big internet auction site and search for zeiss binoculars.  You will very likely be able to find comparable binoculars to yours (some will even have upside down pics too Big Smile).  You can get a feel for their worth that way.
