Hello, to the people who has one of these scopes. Is there any real differnce between the two other than csx is second focal plane and cbx is first focal plane?

Anyway, how does the illumination work? Do you pull the rheostat out and then turn it up or down, and then press it in again to turn it off?

P.s - How does the cross look when the illumination is of? Is it just a plain cross or does it have a ball floating in the centre?

Thanks.

My CSX has the C-Dot and when it's lights out, the reticle is the same only black.
The rheostat is pulled out to turn on and rotated to adjust. Push in to turn off. Also, when you turn it on it is at the last setting.
