My wife is set on this scope

Swarovski 3-18x50 Z6 Rifle Scope DEMO-A

Stock # - SPL18079

She shoots a Kimber 308 Classic, my only concern is the Plex Reticle, We deer hunt and  a lot of shots are at low light, I am worried about the thickness of the plex for low light. Any comments would help. I just purchased the Leica ER 3.5 x14 with the #1 and love it.

She obviously has good taste in optics.   I wouldnt argue that one with her.

Let your wife drive on this one... don't worry about the plex reticle (which is not one of my favorites, BTW).  The overall quality of the scope is amazing and the reticle will be fine (get it... fine) in low light conditions.

That's a GREAT scope but... it is big (long and heavy). Are you sure she wants that on that Classic Kimber? Besides, I can never figure why so much top end magnification is always desired. My wife would certainly opt for something smaller and with less magnification. How about the 1.7-10 X 42 (#4 A reticle) Z6 or the illuminated version of same?

the smaller Z5 3-18x42 might be a better fit size wise.Bucky

I would go with her original choice.  I don't see 6 oz being a showstopper if that is what she wanted to begin with.  Great choice, great scope, not too heavy, not too "big"...

we spent Saturday looking at scopes and she liked the Swarovski, 2x12x50 Z6i with 4A and the 2.5x15x44 Z6i with 4A. I think she is leaning towards th 2x12x50 that would be my choice for low light. I will buy from SWFA. What do you think guys.

Let her get what she wants.  I think the reticle would be fine.

IMO, that would be a dandy...especially if she likes it! Excellent
