I have a TA 31H ACOG that is calibrated for a 6.8 SPC and

Plan to put it on my SCAR 17 and zero it at 100 yards. I know

The bullet drop characteristics are different but according to

Some charts I saw on the internet the variance may be up to

1.5 inches at 400 yards.  Any comment or advise is appreciated.

1 comment but no advice.

1.5" at 400 yards with an ACOG is some pretty nice shooting.

I guess I didn't post the question correctly. For example, If one takes an ACOG with
with a 556 calibrated reticle and zeros it at 100 yards on a 308, how
effective (or ineffective) will accuracy be at 200/300/400 yards shooting a 308?

In this case I intend to use 6.8 SPC Acog on a 308 scar. I read various bullet
drop charts and appears that the there is minimal correction up to 400 yards.
Bullet drop seems to be with in 1.5 to 1.75 inches difference at 400 yards.

Anyway technically if one uses different ammo ( different grain or load) of the same calibre the scope should be recalibrated, correct?

What you experts think?
