4x16 Black Diamond or Pentax Lightseeker 30. What reasons to buy Ballistic Plex over the MD or vice versa? Also, seems that the "no fault" Pentax warranty is better?
Before I buy, is there any other 30mm scope in this price range (500-550) I should consider?

First of all, what are you going to use the scope for?

Hunting low light?

Range shooting?

Safe Queen rifle like most of us?

Just being fun this morning>

I plan to use the scope to shoot 300-1000 yards and crease the nerve plexus of large-antlered deer to temporarily paralize them. I then will saw off their antlers so no one will shoot them simply because they have antlers.
In order to do this I have to put a lot of time in shooting paper and groundhog heads.
So paper, groundhog heads, & long distance accuracy for deer.

Black Diamond and Lightseeker 30 are the same.  Burris makes Pentax scope.  Reticle is a personal choice. Both can be used with success.  Get one you are comfortable with.  Warranty, for all practical purposes, is the same on both scopes.

Funny with the nerve plexus and stuff.

Pretty good book, though, about Bob the Nailer and, yes,  I was just trying to be funny. It kinda is weird that when someone here asks a simple question about a scope that the first thing is always "what are you going to use it for". I realize that's a valid question but most people do not have the luxury of buying a scope & gun for each and every application, so they must compromise and buy one good scope to use for all applications.
My question was and still is Why whould YOU choose the balistic plex over the MD or vice versa. And I did reallize it was the same scope - thats why I listed both of them. I just can't decide between the BP or MD.
