I'm checking out an Eotech L3 for a friend. It seems that the windage adjustment works but the elevation doesn't move when turning adjustment screw. Both adjustment screws turn very easy without any tension or clicks. Any advice?

I'd send it back, or at least call Eotech. Their customer service is stellar and they want you satisfied.

Lastly....GET AN AIMPOINT!!!!!!  Wink
Kidding..sorta.

After looking at Eotech website I see they have a 2 year warranty.  Not sure how old this thing is and he isn't the original owner.  He may sell it to me cheap so I will call Eotech and see how much to repair.

Ya, me too. I'm an Aimpoint guy to a fault, but I have friends that have used Eotechs CS dept and they were all taken care of beyond their expectations.

One friend had a Eothingy fail at a carbine class we attended and sent it to Eotech with a note explaining that he was standing by to go on deployment as a medic on a PSD team. They sent him a brand new sight and even upgraded to the newest model at no charge.

Well, turns out this thing is a Chinese fake Eotech.  I called them today and the first thing the guy asked me was if the nv button changes reticle from red to green and it does. He said the real ones don't do that.

Guess Eotech can't help you with that one, Buddy. Just one of a few reason I hate Chicom knock offs.

Sorry.
