Bought new TC Omega Dream Season, Zeiss Conquest, and Talley one piece to put it all together. Even a gunsmith can"t mount it without sliding the scope all the way back. I only have full reticle when I push muzzie away from my shoulder. What's up with that?

What conquest is it?  Can you get a measurement from the scope to your eye when you can actually see through it?  also a picture of how its mounted would be helpful.  You can email me a photo and I can post it for you if needed.  PM me if you want to.

Under most conditions I like Talley one piece ringmounts.  Unfortunately it sounds like you need more ability to adjust scope position than the mounted one piece ringmount will allow. On my Encore I used this Plus 20 MOA base and there are a number of makes of picatinny type rings that will work the least expensive ones that work are the Warne rings. The Talleys,  Badger Ordnance, Seekins, TPS and a bunch more will all work with this base and allow more range of adjusting scope placement. - - -">Talley 1 Piece Base - Bobby Paul Doherty

If you know you dont need the angled base for long range work they do make a flat one.">Talley 1 Piece Base - Bobby Paul Doherty
