Set out trail cams, maybe you have some big racoons

If your setting your corn out at 3:30PM, the deer are probably feeding at early twilight.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

My feeder goes off at 5AM and at 2PM.

Set your feeder to a time that will want to make the deer come in at a certain time. (whatever time works best for you)  Or you can always make them wait a day or two, and then start rationing again.

The issue that you are going to see is that deer can be nocturnal.
You may have to use something more that corn to get them out of bedding.

Are you rifle hunting? If you are, ditch the stand... Try spot and stalk. With a good pair of binoculars you should be able to find them in their beds. If they want to sleep all day, shoot them there.

-------------
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Buy a feeder with a timer on it gradually start with altering the feed time to a little after sun rise, that way you encourage them to come out in the day light or miss their opportunity.  Over time having the feeder in the same place will encourage them to know where it is.  Also plant beets and turnips Bracilicas. and Ladino Clover and a few evergreens for cover for them or some tall prairie grass or standing corn.
