I am looking to scope an AR 15. I think 2-7 is the ideal magnification for what I intend to use the rifle for. Plus I want to keep it light and compact. Is their anything that compares in price and specs to the redfield rev in 2-7 mag. Just want to look at all my options. I would love to have mildot ret but havnt found anything like that in my price range.

Well
I intend to use for close range as well as out to 300+ yards. I enjoy plinking at steel targets. I intend to shoot varmints, hogs and maybe even a whitetail doe right in the head. Never know!

Spend a little more and get a Nikon Monarch 2-8x32 designed for the AR.

thats about it for less than 150

id go with the optisan, and when your ready to upgrade, use the salt mount and sell the scope.

Yep, the Burris FFII is a better scope and still in that price range. It's the way I'd go.
