I'd do C-2 as seems to be the best for night time. Then maybe a Ziess conquest for the .300 Rum to get some extra eye relief.

FMsniper,

It is good to see you post here.  I recall reading a lot of your posts over on sporterizing forum and bought Parker Hale barrel after that (still waiting to be mated to a Yugo M48 action that I have).

First of all, I did not see a G option in your post, so I am not sure what G-2 is.

As for your other choices.  They make sense.  If you plan to purchase Bushnell Elite 4200 scopes, they are very good for the money, but have a somewhat limited eye relief, IMO.  Should be fine on a 30-06 though.

What is your budget.  If you have the budget for it  http://www.riflescopes.com/products/947P3P/schmidt_bender_4-16x50_police_marksman_ii_34mm_riflescope.htm - http://www.riflescopes.com/products/947P3P/schmidt_bender_4- 16x50_police_marksman_ii_34mm_riflescope.htm  and send it off to Premier Reticles and get the Gen 2 mildot put in it.  That will give you the pretty much the same scope the USMC snipers are switching over to as you read this post.

Sounds like you've got pretty good combinations there.

One thing though is that I think the Nimrod is best with 308 or something with similar ballistics which allows for the use of the BDC.  I did not see anything with 308 ballistics in your list though, with 30-06 probably being the closest.

It looks like you've got a lot of Savages and Mausers (kinda resembles my gunsafe).

According to Premier Reticleswebsite, they are having parts problems and are not taking new work.  They are also one brand only. YMMV

Which ever you get give these guys a look and see which ones they can make these for.  You could make your own with tape and a pen as you must know but they are a little more permanent.  Would make your comp shooting a breeze.

yep the Nimrod BDC is for M118 308, I have 6 of these scopes and they are very nice. I think the 3006 will be close enough to have a good referance.

heres one mounted on a M48 mauser I built

D  or F with  - Super Sniper  10 x 42 M   Try  this I dont think you will be disappointed or overly stressed by the price.

The other thing you might consider is something with a higher variable power range like 4.5-14 or stronger ( you dont have anything like that here) possibly with that 25-06 since it has a fairly flat trajectory and is not that severe of recoil it would make a great coyote gun lots of fun to shoot (which gun do you find yourself shooting the most?). I have been really happy with my 8.5 - 25x50 Illuminated Mark 4 Leupold and they have several demo ones on sample list.

Do you find the NIghtforce to be awkward due to it's size 56mm or do you like it? The more I use my Mark 4 M3  10x the more I like it, It's the perfect height knobs. I like my Mark 4  8.5-25x50 M1 but it's about as big and bulky as I can stand I would rather see the adjustment knobs not stick up quite as high and not catch brush as easily. I have a VX-III 4.5-14 hunting scope with the new style of low profile finger adjustable knobs that I like also but you have to be looking down on them to read them rather than being able to read them from behind the rifle like tactical scopes, I just wish there was a compromise in height between that and the M1 style. With my Super Sniper 20X I tend not to worry about dragging it through the brush as much because it's not that expensive so I have some scratches on the knobs but so what. I really need to buy a SS 10x or two - wish my tax refund would come in.

They have some nice 3.5-10 M3 Leu on samplelist.

Best Wishes from those of us at Camp Dodge JFHQ

Stay Safe
