I refinished this for George @ GAP. It a new stock on the market made by Stock Work Composites and it is pretty cool. He sent me some photos after he assembled it for the Shot Show. So I thought I'd share a photo of it with you all.

I did the finish on it so I got to spend a lot of hands on time with it. I really like the way it feels. He's trying to figure out a name for it on snipers hide in a thread in the bear pit.

If you have any ideas for the name post a response on the hide.

Saw it over there today.  Very nice finish job Joe, and it looks very comfy.  From what I understand it will be for right handed rifles only.  I hope they make some for us lefties.

The AICS mag system is from Badger Ordanance. I dont know what retail is on it. As with any thing Marty makes they are flawless in fit & function. They are machine out of alum & are slightly larger than the standard REM floor plates so the stock must be inletted and pillar bedded but when George installs them they fit perfectly flush with the stock and work like glass.

I am trying real hard not to get one installed on my stick. IMO the main advantage is for safety (being able to unload with the push of a button) and  making it much easier to clear the weapon on the firing line  vs. the standard BDL swing out plate. It also makes for rapid reloading and switching types of ammo a snap.

Did you guys notice the action?

Its not a REM 700 action its a GAP R7000. Its a refined and beefier version of the 700 action with a side mounted bolt release. I was playing with one today when I was at GAP. They are SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
