I know I'm gonna get beat up for this statement, but I feel like a punching bag todayCrutch. I never really cared for the 94 action; it just doesn't have that lever action feel to it like the 92s and 73s. I even like the 86 action. I just think the 94 action is artificial for a lever action. That's just me though.

A gun shop here was going out of buisness and had a 1886 Browning short rifle (or was it a carbine?), and I picked it up for $800. Hasn't had a box of shells put through it. It's willed to a friend of mine, unless I can get $1,200 for it. But it aint for sale.

A friend of mine bought a Springfield M-2 (1903 Springfield in 22LR) last week. Said it was the most expensive gun he had ever bought ($1,100). It's in excellent condition and shoots great. I'm jealous.

Freedom Arms are outstanding. I can't get 0.001" feeler stock in on any of the chambers on my .454. There is no movement of the cylinder, when locked, that can be felt.
Built like a tank, yes. But with the precision of a Swiss watch.

I really want one of their 6" 454 Casulls.  Handled one once, and fell in love with it.  Wanted one ever since then.  Would make a great carry gun for bear country I think.  And wouldn't mind trying some handgun hunting with it maybe.

And here is yet another. I traded the Safari for this little SAKO L579 Forester chambered in 243 with medium contour barrel yesterday. I've owned this rifle in the past and the oportunity arose to re-acquire it. I'm on a roll.Big Grin
