Gentlemen,

I am looking for a 4 x 12 x 40MM+ that has a bullet drop compensator.  Bushnell used to make one that had interchangeable rings to adjust for the size of rifle and grain of round being shot that works well for me. I own two of them and they work great.  I hunt in deep south Texas and our shots are typically 250-400 yards.  I sight all my rifles in for 250 yards and with a flat trajectory round you are OK out to 300 yards without having to move the crosshairs.  Once you get into shots further than that the bullet drops much faster.  With the BDC it made it easy to just dial up the estimated yardage and then hold the gun dead on for the shot.  I think there are some newer scopes out there with a ballistic reticle that could probably work as well.

Can you recommend a scope to me for a Remington Model 700 SPS 300 Ultra Mag

that has this capability that will not break the bank?  I utilize the rifle for whitetails, muleys, and Elk.

Thanks

Leupold's M3 knobs due exactly that. You'll break your bank for one though. There are quite a few manufactures offering a ballistic plex style reticle that is pretty much the same principle.
