Hi all, So I'm in a debate with myself about whether to get the Millett TRS-1 4-16x50 and the Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40.
I am going to be getting the EGW 0 MOA base and Burris Zee Rings (Medium). I plan on hunting within 300 yards, however I am wanting to do the occasional long range shooting as well.
The good thing I heard about the TRS is that I won't need the 20 MOA base because of the amount of internal adjustments it has (for my 100 yard Zero). I have also heard mixed reviews for the TRS, but the new Prostaff I have only heard great things about, except the internal adjustments will restrict me from going out to say 800-1000 yards with the 0 MOA base (which I plan to stick with to keep for my 100 yard zero.) Does anybody have any insight or experience with these two or have any suggestions?
  My Best,
     Matt

I would stay away from the TRS, its been proven to be a hit or miss kinda scope, CS for them is through Bushnell which is best described as worse than being dragged naked through a field of broken shards of glass......  The nikon while it is the bottom line of nikons selections isn't to bad but its not that good either.
Take a look at this scope, not much more in cost but leaps and bounds better in quality than those two,

I'm really liking that scope you showed me. It didn't show the Max internal adjustments so I looked on competitor and it said that Elevation and Windage were 92 MOA each, correct me if I'm wrong but is it stating that the total Max internal adjustments for a the 1" diameter is 184 MOA? Or did I read it wrong and is 46 MOA for each.
   Thanks for the suggestion

That means there is 92 moa up and down and 92 moa left and right.

You'd have a total of 92 for horizontal travel and also 92 for vertical travel.  If you zeroed your scope and it was a perfect world and you were in exact middle of your adjustmetn range you'd be left with 46 MOA left or right and 46MOA up or down..... make sense?
