I'm looking for info on a m1 garand that is marked "m1 beretta cal .30 ARMI ROMA E" on the back of the receiver and has beretta parts all through out. I've researched this some and cannot find anything like it online. Anyone know anything about it?

Recommend you consult with the guys on the CMP Garand forums ( http://www.odcmp.com - www.odcmp.com ).  Also, Fjestad's Blue Book should have some info (don't have my copy here at the office).

By the end of WWII, the Italians had joined the Allies.  The US Army equipped them with American weapons.  After the war, Beretta produced a lot of parts, barrels, etc. and also the model BM-59 which was a Garand with a 20-rd box magazine chambered in 7.62 NATO (similar to an M-14).  So it's not surprising you have an "Italian Garand," but other than that, I can't tell you much.  Certainly the CMP guys will know more.

That would be a good place to post questions about it. There used to be a great article on Beretta's history with the Garand and their derivative, the BM-59, which apparently solved several of the problems like excessive muzzle climb that plagued the full-auto M-14. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be around any longer. If I saved a copy and can dig it up, I'll try to post it somewhere. From what I remember, Beretta bought Springfield's Garand tooling along with many spare parts as Springfield was transitioning from Garand to M-14 production. A few years ago, in fact, I bought a spare NIW Springfield-made gas cylinder from a guy in Italy. (Just about any other part of a Garand can be found or repaired, such as re-buttoning the tip of the op-rod, but I figure that once you wear the gas cylinder sleeve out, it's done for).
