This scope is new to the Kahles line & I'm wondering if anybody has any opinions (pro or con) on their performance in the field.  I'm thinking that by now at least somebody on this forum has taken one of these scopes hunting & could share their experiences.

Chris, I remember you stating that you replaced your Swarovski's with the CL on your rifle(s).  Had a chance to try them out yet?  As far as 1" tube scopes go, where does the CL rank?  Is the Swarovski line no longer exclusively getting the best glass?

Thanks for a great website!

If you want to spend $800, the CL is hard to beat.  The big ocular lens gives you a huge view that made the other scopes I was comparing look small (Conquest 3-9X40, Leupold 3.5-10X40, Swarovski 3-9X36).  It was clearly the best scope in this group.  It's fairly big, but if you don't mind that, and can handle adjustable objective, you will love looking through it.

Thanks mwyates for sharing your opinion with me.  It sounds like these scopes look great in a store.  However, even average quality scopes can look good under flourescent lighting.  Is there a reason why I can't seem to get any "real world" feedback on this scope?  I am sure that there is SOMEBODY (anybody?) who has one of these scopes and has used it to hunt this season.  PLEASE, PLEASE is there somebody willing to share their experience(s) with this scope.  For me $900 doesn't grow on trees & I want to know if the glass they're touting in these scopes is marketedly better than other scopes in this price range.

I am looking for a reason to buy one of these scopes but I'm not going to put my money down without some positive "real world" hunting situation reviews of this new optic.  I have kind of narrowed my choices down to the 50mm CL and 50mm Zeiss Conquest & I really want to know if the added $$ for the CL gives better field performance over the Conquest line.

Not trying to complain but I have found this website to be a great resource for info on optics.  I really thought I'd get more help that just one reply...

Thanks!
