I am looking for a budget priced (under $50 hopefully including rings) scope to mount on a Marlin single shot 22 youth rifle.  I would prefer a compact model, fixed 4x or less would be fine, so would a variable.  If there is such a thing as a budget priced scope that is not to finnicky about eye relief that would be a plus, easier for the kids to find the full field of view.

I see a few items on the sample list, a Truglo 4x fixed.  I like the size of this one, it would go nicely on this little rifle, but I know nothing about the quality.

There is also a Simmons, and a Bushnell.  Both of these are variables, I am curious how they would rate against one another and the Truglo?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'd give these a look.

Both come with rimfire rings and either would be a good budget choice.

+1 on the Konus. I have both of those models and they have been stellar performers for the money

I'll do the broken record thing, and proffer my usual 2 suggestions of:

and

Both are just outstanding for the $.

That being said, I've never tried any cheaper rimfire scopes than that (save for a 1950's era Redfield 4x - which isn't as good as either of these...).  So, you might do just fine with something in the $50 range.

But I will have to repeat that the 2 scopes linked above give, imho, a far better picture than their price would indicate.

Good luck with your search!
