Hey guys. I was in a local pawn shop today looking for some bases for my older 112 savage varmint rifle. The flat base bases are kinda hard to find in the non weaver configuration.Anyway this guy has tons of old new stock. Like rings, bases, gun parts ect. Anyway i managed to find an old set of redfield STD bases for my gun. When it came time for rings this guy pulled out a box that was full of new old stock red field rings that had been in the store over 20 years. I bought a set of medium gold engraved STD rings that had been marked 40$ in the 80s for 25$!! these have to be kinda hard to find now. They were in the original cardboard box and the hex screws go in from the bottom. They dont exactly fit in that well on a OD Green Savage but i was just impressed at how beautiful they were. Definitely belong on a Belgium Browning or something. You guys would go crazy in this scope at all the old goodies. Also bought a Japan made older 3x10x44 Simmons for my marlin papoose for 50$. Nice clear scope at a good deal. It was in the box. With the original sticker faded. Just thought i would share

Go back to that pawn shop and see if they have any 3/8" Redfield steel rings. Buy all of them and put them on ebay one at a time.

Or if they have any of the 3/4" tubed scopes buy those up to. Chris bought one off ebay recently for our optics museum. They are very rare.
