I seen an AR this last weekend, at the match I shot, chambered in a wildcat based on the Grendel. Pretty much the same brass just necked-down to 6mm. It was a shooting some-bugger though! Spitting out 105gr. AMAX at almost 3100fps!

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Alexander Arms wants $100 in royalties per 6.5 Grendel so guys are making the .264LBC-AR which is tweaked just enough to not be a grendel but can use teh same brass from what I'm told...and no royalties!

6mm sounds even better, I'm willing to bet the 6mm ballistics is hands down better than the 6.5 or .264 rounds.

Depends on what you want to do with the round really.  I may end up getting a 264LBC barrel if this one doesn't turn out to be a shooter.  As far as the 6mm vs the 6.5  its really again dependent on what you are gonna do with it.  paper punching the 6mm would be better.  Hunting the 6.5 in some cases would be better.  Some issues some are seeing with 6mm chamberings such as the 6x45 is getting brass and relaoding for it.  not as availible as the 6.5.  The LBC chambering has a steeper neck as well which they claim improves accuracy even more than the grendel round.  Time will tell.

I'm thinking of doing Black, white, grey, urban digital type theme.  I just go to get some graph paper and make some templetes

G

what types of paint do you use. I am doing a cheep experiment on my savage with rattle can.

lol My first attempt went bad. The paint started coming off when wiped with a little wd. I have since put a high temp engine paint clear coat over it after repainting. I am now using steel wool to dull the finish.

Try Duracoat.  It is a lot tougher than rattle can paint.  It costs more though, but is worth it IMO>

SVT,

I don't know if you are considering having it coated by a gun shop, but there is a shop in Knoxville called Predator custom and they do some really good coating jobs.  I will see if I have any pictures of the job they did on my cousins AR.

I like that idea...and if you could ALSO incorporate the "Punisher" symbol with that urban camo somehow...I think that would be sweet!. Nice looking Rifle SVT----Bboy623

Yep all that with the ACOG.  Just using the point of the upside down "V" thing  I think they call it a chevron. lol

I also shot the 308 a little this weekend to confirm my hunting loads yet again.  What do yall think?
This is a 10 shot group from cold bore.  Loads where 150gr Accubonds over vargat.  Shooting prone off a bipod with a rear bag.   I'd say I had a slight horizontal stringing problem but at 300yds I'll take it.
