I am waiting for my Taurus Tracker 17 HMR to arrive Big Smile   I need a scope for it.  I will be using this mostly for plinking and targets out to 100 yrd.  But an occasional squirl or Coyotte could meet up with it.

I need recommendations for power, fixed or variable, and finally make and model.

Thanks.

for a little more than the 25-50 yd plinker, I like the leo 4x. Revolvers aren't as accurate as something like a T/C handgun in the same caliber and higher mags. are not necessary. How far the scope sticks out over the hammer may or may not be a consideration for you, but variables and sometimes the mounting system require it. This 22 hornet is good for clay targets at 200 yds.

Hi B, Did your tracker arrive yet? Where did you get it? I've been trying to find one with no luck

Thanks,

George

No.  But one has been on GunBroker for ever.  Asking $489.  I want the revolver but I am not going to pay retail+  for it.  In the meantime, I am busy putting together a .204 barrel on my TC Encore Pro H Big SmileBig Smile

Yeah - I can get a better deal retail than $489 - the problem is that no-one has one.

Did you find one? If so would you mind letting me know where?

Thanks,

George

I simply all three gunshops I have bought from before and asked them to put on the waiting list.  First one to get it, will get mu business.  They vary in their price from $399 - $419.  That is just fine.  Meanwhile, I keep shooting .22s.  I am seriously considering buying a Ruger Single Action.  If Taurus wants my money, they best hurry.

Cheers.

I gave up on Taurus and bought a Ruger Single-six hunter.  Will pick it up next week Big Grin
