Does anyone know the proper mounting procedure and torque values for Warne's permanent mount scope rings.

Thanks

15-20 inch-pounds is normally the case for the cap screws. and 65 inch-pounds for the rail screws. Pretty much the same for all ring types.

Warne are different.  they all require 25 in lbs.

I have one of those Warne torque wrenches and it is quite helpful and not overly expensive.  Since I have a bunch of Warne rings, I went ahead and bought the wrench.

I bought the Warne wrench also and I think it is a good investment.

Thanks for the replies. Is that 25 pounds for the top and bottom screws. The way they're made it seems you could tighten the bottom as much as you wanted and then torque the top.

You should tighten than all evenly.  If you try to tighten the top or bottom to fast it will bind them and could damage your scope.  Tighten them slowly and evenly so the gap is the same at the bottom and the top at all time.  Then torque all the screws to 25 inlbs.

This topic has been moved to Rings and Bases and will soon be eliminated in Rifle Scopes...
