Red dot??

You needing optics or are you just going for the look? I've deer hunted with a shotgun using slugs, but never used a scope on one.

Others may be more help here, but my .02 is to not bother.

Saiga makes some good guns. I have the .223 and the 7.62. While neither is a tack driver, they function flawlessly. The .223 is actually more accurate than my old mini-14 and the 7.62 is about the same as my mini-30 but shoots anything I feed it as opposed the the 30 that doesn't like surplus ammo.

What are you planning on using the Saiga 12 for?

I have three Barrels for it and an accuchoke system, I was looking at something for low light Turkey Hunting. in Missouri, it gets dark early here during turkey season and my eyesight is horrible. So mainly something to help me see what I'm shooting at better in low light.

Turkeys are evil, and should die. "grew up in Western Arkansas and did a lot of hunting" I had 3 of them unroost from the same tree "that I got to before daylight to deer hunt by" well, it was about a depends moment so I have no love for the turkeys.

I'd go with something low magnification with as good a glass as you can afford.

The guys in the shotgun section would know more, but here's my .02

Best of luck, the only good turkey is a dead turkey.

Some red dots tend to not be as bright in low light as a traditional optic.  I would suggest a low power fixed power optic.
