Ok so talking with LRSMike and knowing that he is over in Iraq now serving I was thinking of starting this thread so that if someone felt compelled to send over a care package to them they could and would have the address to do so.  SO with that said only active military folks need to post the place to send the package.  We do a version of this at my home church and it goes well so maybe the folks on here can do it to.  I do not know what the limitations are on what you can send so someone please help me out there when you post an address for shipping.  Carry on.

The USPS website has a list of what you can and cannot send, and weight limitations. there is a flat rate priority box which alot of people use, because you can mail up to 70 lbs at the same rate as 2 lbs. It would be smart to have the soldiers post ACTIVE DUTY in the thread, that way people know who to contact through PM for addresses, this should be the only way for addresses.

Yes it will, the soldier will use the thread to post ACTIVE DUTY, or DEPLOYED NATIONAL GUARD or RESERVE, and that way people can read the thread and find out who is deployed.

STILL A GREAT IDEA!

That sounds interesting.  I know B&D donated some tools early last year to a squad stationed over in Iaq.  They sent them a 5 tool combo bag of 18V cordless Dewalt tools.
I am betting that they will go along with a squad or platoon based donation rather quickly but they tend to shy away from single person donations!

I told SVT, whatever is sent, will be used by either that person, or their soldiers that they work with, it won't be for just one person, unless the sender and soldier agree on it in PM.

I, for the most part, will share everything I get, I do it with the stuff my wife mails too.
