Which screw (front or back) gets tightened first when mounting action to wooden stock? Thanks in advance.

i usually do the back first but that doesnt mean im right.

I didn't think it really matters.  The only " funny thing"  I ever heard about bottom metal screws was the Middle Screw ( the front trigger guard screw ) on the Winchester Model 70.  After you tighten everything up, you back off a little on the Middle Screw.....but the Mauser doesn't have a middle screw.....

Yep, you can actually get the action in a "bind" if you over tighten the middle screw on a Model 70.  Or so a 'smith told me.
