After someone pointed me to the Weaver T4 scopes I researched them and really like them.   To late though as I bought a Leupold 36X this weekend.   But Weaver has just what I was looking for a fixed power target scope.

Now I'm wondering, just how good is a Weaver?

I have two Weaver variables that I'm very happy with. One is a V-3 which is on a model 94 30-30 and the other is a V-7 that is on an 8x57 Remington 700. The V-3 has not required an adjustment since I sighted it in 5 years ago. The V-7 only has about 125 rounds (Euro spec) on it but it too has not needed any additional adjustments so far. My buddy has a K2.5 on his 12 gauge slug gun and is also very happy with his scope.

My understanding is that the T series Weaver scopes you are looking at are even better than the V and K series so they should be excellent choices.

All the Weaver scopes I have looked through seem to my eye to be at least optically equivalent to a Leupold II series. Tracking is good and you get 1/4" per click. I would rate any of the Weaver scopes as a best value buy.

I have had the same experience as jlinnh  with the V3.  I have my V3 on a heavy kicking slug gun.  It is a great scope fot the price!

Had a K-series 2.5/20mm on my Ruger Deerfield/.44 mag.  Groups started to 'wander'.  Had the rifle glass bedded thinking that was the answer - NOT.  Finally took the scope off the rifle and gave it a little shake - and- tinkle, tinkle, tinkle.  Having a tough time getting thru to their customer service (Meade).  They don't seem to answer their phones and there's no email address.  I would recommend that anyone considering a Weaver to wait awhile until Meade gets their customer support area straigtened out.

I used to see more T-36's on the line at our club shoots but not anymore. The Leupolds rule.

Beware of meade customer service it is setting new levels in dismal service and turnaround. Optics forums are full of guys playing the contact game with a company that could care less about your scope being repaired or replaced. Shame weaver has to have its nam,e associated with them after so many years of good service and preformance.
