I'm looking for a scope to try on my .22 squirrel rifle.  I have a 4x sightron sii on there now, like it but sometimes want lower power/ more field of view when they're scampering through brush.  Have been looking at the Bushnell Legend 2x7, Vortex Xfire and Diamondback 2x7s.  Any experiences with these?  Need to keep costs down, what I have works find, just tinkering....

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think the Redfield and Leups lack fully-multi-coated lenses, which 've found them useful for squirrel hunting.  Light through leaves can be uneven.  Good lenses and light control can be beneficial.  The Weaver has less FOV than others.  Any reason, you all are recommending these in particular?

Just bought a Vortex Viper 2x7 and it is nicer than a 7 year Leupold VXII 2x7
Really like it.

Another vote for the Weaver rimfire scope. Even though the FOV might be a little less than on some others, turned down low it has plenty. Just a real nice little scope for not much money.

Thanks for the suggestions.  The Viper is a little out of my price range but I'll check out the Weaver.  I can get the Legend for a little less than the Weaver is why it's in the list.  Just found out there's a rimfire area for this forum, sorry about the misplacement.   I'll go sniff around over there too.
