I an looking at these 2 scopes in 4.5-14 to put on a 25wssm. Does any one know the difference between these 2? The short mag and timberline have identical specs other than the short mag@ 14x fov @ 100 = 7.5 and the timberline is 6.3 ft. My guess is same glass coatings etc just these( timberline) were not USA made scopes? any input would be appreciated. Loco

If memory serves me right, short mag scopes were not made in the US either.

Timberline and Short Mag are the same scopes with different labels on them.

KOSHKIN.....Thanks so much for taking the time to answer....talked to burris today here is what they said"The short mags were made here...timbeline phillipines....short mag 2 piece tube....timberline 1 piece tube. Same internals...same glass and fully multicoated...." So these seem like a decent deal to me in a ballistic plex....gonna try one. Thank you again and happy new year to you and yours.
