Looking for a Spotting scope to enhance my Wildlife Digital Photography and just wondering about this model-----Vortex touts it as comparable to the high end Swarovski's or Leica's------

Otherwise, I'm pretty sure going with either the

Pentax
PF-80ED-A w/Zoom Eyepiece
or the
Nikon Fieldscope ED82-A w/25-75x Zoom Eyepiece

The Razor HD spotter is so new, you aren't likely to find many people who have used it.

I will say that I looked at it at a trade show and was extremely impressed!  I can believe it's in the same class as the alpha scopes.  It at least appeared equivalent to the Swaro, Zeiss, etc. scopes I've seen, as best I could tell inside the convention center where I saw it.  Admittedly, this isn't a good environment to do a comparison, but it sure seemed to have the image quality I would expect to see through the alpha scopes, at a much lower price.

I have the Pentax and love it, great eye piece, great scope - no experience with the Vortex though.

I just wished the folks at Vortex would have given the option of having a straight eyepiece version of the Razor HD instead of only an angled.    If so I'd be very interested myself.
