Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on Konus optics and if they are worth the money?  I was offered a KonusPro m30 8.5 X 32 x 52mm for $300 new.  I looked thru the glass and it was crystal clear up to around 28 mag, from there it is still clear, just not AS clear up to 32mag.  I would really appreciate any feedback on these!!  Thanks!

I own two Konus M30 models, the two below the one you looked at.  The optics are awesome.  However, I have not had a chance to mount them on a rifle and check out the trackability and maintenance of poi with a change in magnification.  The seem very well built with a lot of nice features, such as the turret locks.  I have spoken to the distrubtion center in Florida, as I had ordered the scope and it would not ship.  Apparently the dealer had under priced the scope against Konus policy.  They made it right and sold it through another dealer at a lesser price.  Therefore, I bought a second scope.  Mine are crystal clear to their upper limits of 24 and 16x mag.  I cannot speak for your scope, as getting up to 32x is treading on thin ice in a relative inexpensive scope.  I personally would stick with the 24x model.

I really appreciate the quick response!  I was hoping it wasn't me just thinking I was looking thru a clear scope in the hope to get one at a reasonable price!  These things seem to be hard to find any feedback on, except by Konus themselves of course.  The guy who offered me this particular scope put it on his .204 to test it out and put 20 rounds thru the gun.  He loves the scope and is a die-hard Leupold man.  So I guess technically it's not "new".  He says that from now on, this is his brand.  As for the mag on the scope, I really don't see me using much past the 20 setting, just seems like too good a deal to pass up.  I would still like to hear from anyone else on this.  Thanks!
